AAISHA BHUIYAN
Hi! I’m Aaisha, a fractional product leader in venture communities.

As a fractional product leader, I work across the venture stack to help teams move from concept to launch. The venture stack includes the capital, infrastructure, and support capabilities required to build and scale a startup. I drive capital enablement - having designed and fundraised for a founder fellowship, helped angel syndicates and VCs build intentional communities, and advised teams on how to navigate the operational challenges of scaling. I provide fractional product management support and refer engineering talent. I define product strategy, translate user needs into actionable roadmaps, and build systems designed to grow. Whether I’m shaping early-stage bets, de-risking GTM plans, or supporting fundraising, I bring a structured, strategic approach to building sustainable ventures from the ground up.

What a fractional product leader does:
  • Define product strategy: Align product direction with business goals, take product/service from -1→1
  • Prioritize the roadmap: Decide what to build and when, making tradeoffs with limited resources
  • Translate user needs into features: Work with designers and engineers to distill user stories into a clear product roadmap
  • Cross-collaborate with internal teams: Work with sales to establish GTM and unlock strategic partnerships
  • Build or coach product teams: Hire, train, or mentor junior PMs or cross-functional teams
  • Advise founders or execs through conflict and complexity: Bring a seasoned perspective to early-stage product decisions or scaling challenges
  • Provide feedback on storytelling: Help refine messaging to tailor to a specific audience (investors, customers, founders)

When companies hire fractional product leaders:
  • They’re pre- or post-launch and need experienced leadership fast.
  • They can’t yet afford or don’t need a full-time Head of Product.
  • They’re going through a transition, like a new product line or restructuring.

My background spans tech, government, venture capital, and humanitarian relief but the throughline is impact. I'm committed to building structures that create equity and lasting change for overlooked communities around the world.

Outside of work, I'm adjunct at Columbia University's Strategic Communications department where I work with graduate students on strategic storytelling and critical conversations. My literary work has been featured in Forbes for the United State of Women, in Susan Skog’s book Your Voice Matters, and I’ve led leadership, culture, and creativity workshops for the Asian American Writers' Workshop, UNESCO Center for Peace, Amazon, Columbia University, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

You can follow along on my Substack!
Fun fact:
I stumbled across a scholarship blurb quoting me as an example of “Good Trouble” and honestly, that’s the only legacy I’m aiming for.
